Love your inner baby!


I love the people I get to work with, and they teach me so much! This week a lovely person on a coaching call said the most beautiful thing. She said that she has 

never really understood the work some people do with their inner child but that after our session she just felt like loving a baby photo that she had in her house. A photo of herselfthat she had never really liked. Now she is going to look at that child and just love her.I was inspired to look for a baby picture of myself and do the same. It seems such a simple challenge at first, there I am… drinking a milkshake and being all cute… then I realized so much real healing could take place when we acknowledge that baby who is still inside of us, who deserves to be loved.Why do we easily see why that babies in general deserve love, yet fail to acknowledge that we are still that lovely soul whose face looks out from the photo? The experiences we have had and the challenges we have met have aged the face, but the person who deserves love is still in there.

Would you ever:

  • Write yourself a love note?
  • Sit in front of a mirror and gaze into your own eyes?
  • Reach your arms around yourself and just hug you?

If not, why not?

When you love a person you will do so many things to show them. Perhaps for you, loving will look like:

  • Feeding yourself good food on a regular basis.
  • Thinking of nice words to describe yourself.
  • Giving yourself permission to say no to something that makes you feel overwhelmed.
